Good with dogs: Yes, with proper intros Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes Good with kids: Unknown Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Special Needs: Sight Impaired Angie is the sweetest and most loving girl. The moment she knows it's bed time, she will jump in bed with you, roll onto her back, and look at you beseechingly for belly rubs. She loves cuddling with her humans and chilling in her crate. It takes her a while to warm up to new places, people and things, so her crate is definitely her safe space -- she gets surprised easily! When she grows comfortable with her people and her space, she gets very excited about treats, walks and pets. She's very eager to please her hoomans and will "sit", "stay" and "crate" immediately. She is completely house trained -- no accidents (ever!) inside. Although she loves being in close proximity to her humans, she's perfectly fine spending several hours chewing on her bones in her crate. On walks, if she gets scared, she tends to turn around and attempt to bolt home, but will stop and listen to you immediately if you tell her to sit. Repeated walks and exposure help calm her down and she eventually grows to love strutting her stuff down the street! Angie would make the perfect dog for a low-traffic home with a calm family, who can give her the love and attention and pets that she deserves. She's shy and nervous, and will take time to warm up, but when she does she will love you and brighten up your home more than you can imagine. Good with dogs: Yes, with proper intros Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: Yes Crate trained: No House trained: Working on it Age: 2 years Weight: 11 lbs. Apollo is a happy little guy who is partially paralyzed from mid back down. Don't worry though, that doesn't get him down at all! He's still a little ball of energy who is spunky and absolutely loves to scoot around, chase after mini tennis balls and play with as many toys as possible. He entertains himself quite easily but is always happy to snooze the afternoon away snuggling with his human companions. He's quite charming and loves to stick out his tongue almost all day long! Apollo loves almost every single dog he's met and has been fostered with and lived with a cat down South! He prefers smaller dogs of any energy level, but also does well around bigger dogs who are more mellow. As soon as he realizes they don't pose a threat of running him over, he'll be their best friend. He also loves every human and kid he's met so far. Apollo is currently enrolled in a Boston based physical therapy program twice a week to help work on mobility via spinal walking and to help him gain muscle mass in his back legs. He is working hard every single week both in PT and at home, exercising as much as possible and learning to "walk" on grass, as he has the best footing possible outside. He gets around really easily on certain surfaces such as rugs, carpet and foam mats, but struggles to grip hardwood floors and tile. While Apollo doesn't have full control over his bowels, he can be both stimulated to urinate/defecate but most importantly needs his bladder to be fully expressed multiple times a day to keep UTI's from forming. When he is properly expressed he can be 100% diaper and belly band free in his foster's home! Apollo is looking for someone who can continue to offer physical therapy twice a week for at least the next 6-8 months, someone who is patient and willing to learn his routine and willing to learn how to express his bladder. He'd love to be with someone who has the ability to give him multiple potty breaks a day, whether that means they work from home, work part-time, are retired, or can hire/find someone to give him multiple potty breaks a day! He is good with other dogs and children, but can jump up sometimes, so we would recommend a family with older children only. He is working on house training and crate, he will bark for awhile, so he'll need someone to enforce his being quiet and calm in the crate. He's good on the leash and can be a little timid at first with people but warms up quickly. Good with dogs: Yes, with proper intros Good with cats: No Good with kids: Yes, older children Crate trained: Yes House trained: Mostly Beauty is an energetic, playful girl when she’s at home / in a trusted environment. She's done great with other dogs in public and at home after proper introductions and loves to play. In a new environment, another dog can make her feel much more comfortable. Her favorite pastime are zoomies followed by anything food related. Training is very gratifying for her because she loves to please her people and is very smart and motivated. She is pretty shy at first when meeting new people, and will bark if she’s startled. Once Beauty learns she's safe, she warms up with a little patience and encouragement. She is housebroken, with very few accidents (but an occasional one when in a new place). She crates easily and settles in quickly. Usually she's quiet but can get excited and bark when she hears or sees people. When on walks, she’s learning not to bark and/or whine at new dogs and humans passing by. She is decent on leash but needs more practice at it and loves practicing. She’s been very receptive to different training techniques. She loves to be outside and because she is a flight risk she’s had practice exploring parks using a 50-ft leash. The city can be overwhelming for her so her ideal environment would give her space to run around and enjoy the outdoors.  When she's done playing and running, she loves to curl up on a comfy bed or couch if she's allowed. Boston

Male Adult Pit Bull Terrier (mixed)

Good with dogs: Yes, with proper intros Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Yes, older children Crate trained: No House trained: Yes Boston is a very friendly, very loving dog. He is fully house trained but needs work with crate training and has a significant amount of stress being left in a crate. He would love to find an active home where his family is home more often than not. He sits nicely to have his leash put on but pulls quite a bit while walking. He corrects easily for the pulling but could use some help becoming a more polite walker. He pulls harder when he sees dogs or people but doesn't bark. It seems to be curiosity more than anything else. He plays too hard for very young children so would do best around older ones. Boston needs proper introductions to other dogs, but does well afterwards. He can be overstimulated, so may not be a candidate for doggie day care and would do best getting his exercise in other ways. Boston is a dog that is very easy to love. He is strong and needs an experienced and loving, firm hand to continue his training. He deserves a great home and will be a great companion for both walking/hiking and snuggling. Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Unknown Crate trained: Yes House trained: Mostly Canoli is a smart, independent girl who doesn't need constant attention. She has a medium energy level, which in her case means calm when hanging out around the house, but excited for walks or food. She can be a little timid with new people, but she has been very friendly to everyone she has met once she has warmed up a bit. Canoli loves her crate and goes in willingly. She hangs out in the crate with the door open. She barks when things are going on and she wants to be included, but she does not bark just to make noise. She does not have accidents inside it. She is mostly house trained, but may still have the odd accident still. She was very quick to learn to sit and wait for food or putting on the leash, and she has been trained not to jump on furniture. She knows the commands "no," "out," and "get in your crate". She is afraid of sudden movements and loud noises, so her perfect home would be quiet and calm with a consistent routine.  This sweet girl just needs some more time in a stable home environment to grow her confidence and really blossom! Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids: Unknown, likely yes Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Eleanor is a sweet girl who loves to play with other puppies and bigger dogs too. She also loves cuddling and hanging out on the couch with her people. She is used to doing everything with her siblings, so she may need extra attention and some patience while she adjusts to being without them.  Eleanor would do fine in most any home, but she does enjoy running and playing, so she needs a home that will give her plenty of exercise and playtime. She does okay walking on a leash, and with a bit more practice she'll be great. She has lived with older teenagers in her foster home, and given her friendly personality, she'd likely be fine with young children as well.   Eleanor is a sweet puppy who has so much love to give to her future adopters! She is submissive, crates well and plays nicely with other dogs. She knows how to 'sit' and is happy to entertain herself or be lazy with her humans. Ellie Mae would do well in most homes. After she burns off some energy, she settles down and plays with a toy or snuggles with her humans. She likes playing with other dogs, but is not pushy and takes correction well. She has not been around kids in her foster home, but would likely be great with them, although possibly slightly older ones because of her size and playfulness.
